About SimTool
What SimTool is
SimTool.com is a professional reference for simulation tools across every industry that uses computer simulation — from computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis to robotics, finance, healthcare, energy, climate, and beyond. We publish news, in-depth articles, tutorials, and best practices for technical professionals.
Who it's for
Engineers, researchers, analysts, and software professionals who design, validate, or operate models of real-world systems. Whether you're picking a new solver, evaluating a cloud simulation platform, or staying current on what's shipping this quarter, SimTool aims to be the place you check first.
How it's organized
Content lives in three streams: Latest News for time-sensitive releases and announcements, Categories for long-form reference articles grouped by domain, and the Tool Directory — profiles of the simulation software we cover, with licensing, platforms, alternatives, and links to our in-depth articles on each. You can also search the full archive or subscribe to the news feed.
Editorial standards and methodology
Every article is reviewed for technical accuracy before publication and cites its primary sources — vendor release notes, documentation, and published research — with outbound links, so you can verify claims yourself. Reference articles aim to add information the source material doesn't provide in that form: comparison tables, version-over-version deltas, and practical guidance on who each tool serves. News coverage is limited to one article per announcement; when a story develops, we update the existing article rather than republish, and updated articles show a visible revision date.
When we make a mistake we correct it and note the change. We don't publish paid placements disguised as editorial, and tool-directory profiles are not sponsored listings.
How we make money
SimTool runs Google AdSense ads. Ads are clearly marked and we don't let advertisers influence what we cover or how we cover it.
